I’ve fallen a bit behind on my reading because of reasons all having to do with Netflix, but I’ve just recently finished Ransom Riggs’s third book in the Miss Peregrine’s Peculiar Children series, Library of Souls. Do I dare watch the movie adaptation of Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, now that I’ve read the series? Hn. Maybe I’ll just wait for it to come out on dvd or Netflix. See?! Freakin’ Netflix…
I still have three books from my last library visit to enjoy, but today I just couldn’t help myself and ending up borrowing two new books: Lyndsay Faye’s Jane Steele, a novel which re-envisions Jane Eyre as a serial killer (“Reader, I murdered him.”) and Hiromi Kawakami’s The Nakano Thrift Shop. I’m currently reading Kawakami’s other novel, Strange Weather in Tokyo, so I’m pumped to read more of her work.
Okay, I’m totally going to have to practice self-control when it comes to library books, I have enough stacks as is. I have stacks hiding behind other stacks. Boy, am I stacked!
Okay, I’ll stop now.
